Greeting from President

Thai Rhinologic Society (TRS)

Professor Supinda Chusakul, MD
PRESIDENT

As the current President of the Thai Rhinologic Society, I would like to express my sincere appreciation to the founders of our society, Professor Emeritus Chawewan Bunnag, MD, and Associate Professor Kanit Mantaporn, MD. I also extend my deep respect to all past presidents-Associate Professor Peeraphan Jareoncharsri, MD, Professor Sanguansak Thanaviratananich, MD, and Associate Professor Songklod Aumjaturapat, MD-for their dedication in establishing the strong foundations that have enabled the continued growth of our society.

Today, the Thai Rhinologic Society plays an important role in advancing knowledge in rhinology, allergic rhinitis, sinus surgery, and anterior skull base surgery among otolaryngologists, allergists, neurosurgeons, and general practitioners.

  • Our annual meeting, “Rhinology for All,” serves as a key platform for rhinologists, young ENT specialists, and residents to present research, share expertise, and discuss updates in rhinology and sinus disease.
  • Our outreach project, the “Rhino Nationwide Outreach Program,” features academic activities led by society board members and expert rhinologists from various institutions. This initiative brings up-to-date knowledge to provinces across the country, expanding educational access and strengthening nationwide engagement.

The Thai Rhinologic Society also collaborates with experts from related specialties to develop Clinical Practice Guidelines, addressing essential topics such as allergic rhinitis, epistaxis, and the use of biologics in chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps.

The Thai Rhinologic Society has established Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) with three prominent academic organizations: the Taiwan Rhinologic Society, the Korean Rhinologic Society, and the American Rhinologic Society. These partnerships promote knowledge exchange, clinical collaboration, and international cooperation within the rhinology community.

In 2026, the Thai Rhinologic Society will have the great honor of hosting the World Rhinology Congress (WRC), which will take place from 2 – 4 November 2026 at Centara, followed by the Post-Congress FESS Course on 5 – 6 November 2026 at the Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University. The WRC will be organized in collaboration with the International Symposium of Inflammation and Allergy of the Nose (ISIAN) and the International Rhinologic Society (IRS). It will be our privilege to welcome rhinologists, ENT specialists, allergists, neurosurgeons, general practitioners, and healthcare professionals from around the world to Thailand.

Beyond academic activities for physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals, the society remains committed to providing public education through various media channels-reinforcing our mission to raise awareness and improve nasal health for everyone.

The Thai Rhinologic Society will continue its dedication to advancing medical expertise in rhinology, allergy, sinus surgery, and anterior skull base surgery, ensuring that scientific progress translates into better clinical practice and improved outcomes for our patients.

I wish all of you continued growth, success, and fulfillment in your professional journey.
